Description of tours:

Tour 1
Full day tour to Jerusalem (on Fridays): The
main highlight of
this tour will be a walking tour in the old city.
We'll reach the
Western Wall, surviving relic of the magnificent Temple
built by Herod.
Following the different stations of the Via Dolorosa we
reach the Church
of the Holy Sepulchre, the holiest Christian site in
Jerusalem. We will
also visit the Citadel and the Museum of the History of
Jerusalem, which
is located on the highest point in the Old City, allows
a most
impressive view of the Old and New City. After lunch
(not included) the
tour continues with a visit to Mt. Zion (Tomb of King
David), the
Cenacle (Room of the Last Supper) and the Dormition
Abbey. Return to
Tel-Aviv in the afternoon.

Tour 2
Full day tour to Dead
Sea area and Massada (on Saturdays): This tour combines the
discovery of a unique natural phenomenon, the Dead Sea, with one of the
most famous historical and archaeological sites in Jewish history,
Massada. A cable car makes the ascent from the east side of this cliff
towering above the Dead Sea basin. The excavations of Massada unearthed
major findings. The well-appointed fortress built by Herod, decorated
with frescoes, mosaics, handsome patios and colonnades was the last
stronghold of the Zealots, a Jewish faction resisting the Romans. We
will then proceed to Ein-Gedi Spa for a refreshing pause and for lunch
(not included). Part of the Afro-Syrian Rift, the Dead Sea is the
lowest point on earth, about 380 meters below sea level. Rich in
minerals, the Dead Sea attracts vacationers from around the world who
come to enjoy the thermo-mineral springs. The Dead Sea is extremely
buoyant, a float is a must!
